Service Advisor

RESPONSIBLITIES

- Routine inspections

- System diagnostics

- Full automotive troubleshooting and testing

- Building upon your knowledge of industry-standard tools and 
   equipment
- Properly complete the services and/or repairs for which the 
   technician is assigned by mgt. or their designated representative
- Complete all work according to the applicable safety 
   requirements and plublished procedures.
- Maintain an inventory of normal mechanic’s tools to include 
   screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets, etc. 

- Participate in and utilize to the best of one’s abilities technical 
   training as assigned by mgt.

- Produce quality work that evidence pride of workmanship

- Maintain and organize designated workspace

- Provide the administrative assistance necessary to complete 
   warranty repair orders and other tasks assigned by mgt. 
- Report to mgt. any situation or condition that jeopardizes the 
   safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its’ personnel, or 
   customers
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems

- Diagnose and repair to specifications – brake and hydraulic, 
   exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, 
   suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer 
   systems
- Assist other technicians in performing technical activities

- Explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non- 
   mechanical individuals which may include other teammates and 
   customers as required
- Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and 
   accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
- Diagnoses cause of malfunction and performs repair

- Communicates with parts department to obtain parts

- Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or 
   service work is required or recommended
- Documents all performed and recommended on the repair order

 

REQUIREMENTS

- Valid DL

- Clean driving record

- Pass drug test

- Positive attitude

- Self motivated

- Team player

- Possess honesty and integrity

- Experience with Mitsubishi an absolute plus

- ASE certification preferred but not required

- One year minimum experience

- Strong leadership skills
